| Hey, I'm starting a serious team, and all of us are either new or just getting serious about airsoft. scoutthedoggie recommended this place after I messaged him on youtube, and so I come to find advice. Currently, we're trying to get ten guys to come, maybe twelve. How would I know who to pick if more then that shows up on tryouts? | |

| First you would want to set up a schedule, Like any kind of sporting activity should have. You should have meetings regularly and because it is a physical activity, reccomend players to have a workout routine mainly aerobic excercise. I would also reccomend playing a game at least 2 times a week.
Now you may not be in a specific league but right now I would look into finding one. Especially if your going to take my advice.
Also you need to have members trained as airsmitthy's, and cpr/first aid.

| Is there a reason you have to "cut" anyone? I'd say take advantage of any and all interested airsofters that show up. Don't turn people away just because of a quota. The only people I've turned away from joining my team are those who were unable to invest a decent amount of $$ into their setup, those who refuse to act mature enough to handle their replicas, those in awful physical shape and refuse to do anything about it , and finally those who start up trouble with teammates and other airsofters. Other than those, I want each and every person available to join up. The more the merrier, and the more fun/productive practices are. On top of that, the more people you have on your team, the more chance you have of having a good turnout for events. In response to Lone Wolf's comments: Schedule's are very important. Stick to them and make sure people are consistently showing up to scheduled activities. Two practices a week would be ideal, but it's not likely. Finding times that a decent amount of players can show up to is difficult, even for younger players that don't have jobs and/or are head of households. Shoot for around every other weekend to once a week. Also, what are leagues? I've never heard of airsoft leagues. If they do exist I'd love to join up on one. Having members trained as airsoftsmiths, in CPR/FIRST AID would be great, but don't expect it from young, new players like yourselves. Give it time, be patient, and make sure you never allow running a team to ruin airsoft for you. | |

| Yeah. My friends dad is an airsmith. And the closest thing to CPR certified I am was my lifeguard training. I managed to get one of my buddy's to help me with finding players, and figuring out practices. We so far have two on the team, and three trying out over the summer. Once school starts I can post a bulliten, and see if more people will show up. In my area, there are about six local teams, who contact and schedual matches. I'm guessing the teams are pretty small, the largest being 20 man. Second question. I'm recommending Airsplat.com for my team to get their equipment at, and I've made a list of the starter guns. What is the best place to get G36c clips of 42 round capacity? | |

Are you sure you want such a low capacity? Some people prefer it for realism, but I can hardly stand my 140 round mags If you do, the lowest for the G36 series mags is 50 rounds that I know of. Tokyo Marui makes one - http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/accessory.pl?accessory_id=895

| Airsoft leagues are not actually called tht. but exist. If you have a feild right. that host games with competing teams for prizes then that is called a league. Like NFL/NBL | |

If you have a feild right. that host games with competing teams for prizes then that is called a league. Like NFL/NBL Oh, that makes sense. I would like to make a league around Southeastern Ohio, but there simply aren't enough teams within driving distances - esp. with gas at $4+ a gallon. We're restricted to games within our team except come event time. But yeah, back on topic

| We were going for realism that way training to reload under pressure would be easy. When I first started, I dropped clips as I tried to put them in when I was getting shot at. Most of my team are sixteen years old, and are military brats. Gas prices suck, and right now I'm contacting some of our friends in PHX, to see if thy have fields there or close to there. I want to get in Operation: Thunder IV | |

| Instead of try outs get some friends into the sport , train with them , and acceppt new members as you go along . The results are supprising and you will have more members than you know what to do with before you know it . Good luck getting a team together and I hope that I could have been some help to you .
