Anything Echo-1 or Cyma. The Cyma AK series is marvelous, I've owned one for years and still use it every once in a while.
I've never had to replace or fix anything...this replica just keeps on shootin'.
For your budget, you can get a Cyma AK-47:
http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=370545% of airsofters are in their teens...many of them planning futures in the armed forces...
45% of airsofters are 18+, many of whom background in military service, sport shooting, or electronics...
10% of airsofters are what we call yardsofters, those who run around with $5 springers from walmart making our community look bad.
Most matches (or skirmishes) are FvF (Force vs. Force)...and scenario play is extremely common (ie: capture the flag, king of the hill, etc.)
There is also a large portion of airsoft that is what we call "mil-sim"...scenarios that focus on the most realistic combat simulation.
Welcome to the airsoft community and Airsoft Allies!
