He said the trucks and guns were faced away, and unless the trucks were mounted with rotating guns rather than pivoting guns, I'd want to make it harder than just hopping in a truck and pressing a pedal to either get away or turn around and start firing.

Chances are the guys would be pretty confused if they heard a couple shots and their tires blew up, which leaves a couple extra seconds to take them out. Just my way of thinking though..

Mhm heres a one for you guys...from a book ive been reading, and I will update this as we go..if I can figure out how to go about it :p (ANd any one else who feels like adding to it go for it...lets make this into a story of sorts?)

Background: As previously stated China has invaded the West coast of the US. After several years of expansion on Chinas part they have come to rival the US in millatary technology, and have superiour numbers, a recent shortage of nat resourcess has caused this war. All US allies have fallen into choas as terrorist groups have multiplied exponentioly since the loss of resources, and those who haven't are unable to support.

Since the US lots control of oil supply's in the middle east and South America all oil has come from of shore drilling platforms, China has been able to destroy or diable all of them. THe US is dependent on it's strategic supply --enough to fully function for one week.

Since both nations have recently devoloped new technology for tracking and destroying missiles (however it is a large machine and cannot be moved onto the battle field, used to protect from nuc attack) All combat will be take place on the battle field,

The US has lost air superiority in the western coastal states, while it still has superiority in the rest of the states fuel is severly limited...

Your a young 2nd LT in charge of a platoon of soldiers, youve been cut of from your company while in retreat from the unbelievable force China has been able to deploy. Your pinned down by artilary fire and it wont be long before the enemy gets to you...you have 58 men left with you..all are armed with standard gear, you also have been able to salvage a a FIM-92 Stinger system with 7 missiles. You also have a 9 (HEAT) AT-4s. You have about enough ammunition to continue fighting for 1 day at the most.

What do you do?

Do I have any sort of support at all? Arty or armor maybe? Any humvees?

What is the OPFOR size. Do we have vehicles. Do they have vehicles. How heavy is the Arty fire. What is our position and sthrength. What is our escape route....

A support battalion 20 miles away has 2 M110 howitzers avialable for limited use to get you guys out of there, nothing else is available.

Your on foot under heavy fire, your only escape is trying to make it east and form up with your company. You are currently dug in in an open area, your best bet is to escape to the rear were the buildings of a nearby city would offer the best chance of protection and escape. There is 300m of open space between you and protection, you can see the opfor heading at you it consists of 200 well armed men...for some reason thier clumped together. Due to a previous reconnisence mission you also know the general area of the artillary that could be firing on you.

Before the invasion you were a staffer for the commander of your region. during the invastion you were present at a intel meeting that talked about the strengh and location of chinese forces (A spy hidden among them had been able to locate thier plans for a simular attack on the east coast that would take place in the following week) you shortly left to go home to your dog who was sick, as soon as you left HQ was destroyed, a sleeper agent had given the location away.

You must get your intel out since your the only one who knows the situation, the rest of the nation is under shock and a limited response has taken place...when it does the east coast will be vulnerable (ANd why can't you call and give the info?....becouse...your a lt and no one beliefs you...you were just some low rank stafffer, howeer you have documents, maps..ect that would prove it and you need to get it out)...yah der it iz o0

I know this isn't very detailed but here I go......First I would order the guys to deploy a few claymores at the edge of our position then throw a group of smoke grenades towards the enemy and retreat into the city/village once it starts to get dark...really fast.

So..we are in the town and I have placed sniper teams(if I have any) in the buildings around the town fringe along with a few squads to support them.

While the sniper teams are engaging TOs and giving me info on enemy positions and strentgh while the rest are on recon to find a vehicle to exfil the intel ASAP for me along with any wounded we have at the time.

Once the enemy advances to the claymores they are set off......thats all i got for now until I get more info

Do we or do they have air support or vehicles. Plus how far do we have to go to hook up with rest of the army? Also how far away is the OPFOR arty and would i still be under fire once it gets dark?

Ill wait to see if I get some more reponses then I will continue, for now oyu need to get your men out of the artillary fire and away from imediate danger.

id just make some pipe bombs and blow the s### out of everyone!!!!

Too Easy,

Use the higher echelon Arty for Smoke and Interdiction, go to ground outside the city ( the City is going to be a slaughterhouse ), let the opposing forces roll over my element, gather support from the local community ( stratigic locations, S4 Re-supply, Possible base Areas, Support Personel, Replacements....), start conducting aggresive rear area operations to slow down and disrupt OPFOR advance and supply, use what limited resources I have to resupply and re-arm/re-equip my element, continue actions until no longer capable or until link up with friendly forces.

Then and only then, Twist a Fattie and Chill

Well id set up a series of homemade bombs and bomb them along their route and pick as many of with my hunting rifle as possible then id go home and play call of duty.

1) You made it into shelter and was able to hold the enemy at bay for several hours inflicting heavy casualties. However you soon ran out of supplies and were over whelmed. You die (While the buildings do provide a strong position you are trapped inside and can't get out. ( Also I herd bombs like citys)
