| I am training a new member , he is a good friend of mine and he wants to be an anti-sniper , I have given him some tips and I know that there is a topic out already on this subject but I hope to get more detail and additional information not listed in that topic , so instead of post hijacking I made a new thread . | |

| Well to really know how to antisnipe you have to have experience as a sniper. get him active with the sniper squad first then after about 12-16 games of being a sniper he can decide to become the counter-sniper.
You have to follow all of the same field craft as sniping when you anti-snipe, you must be able to move silently and make decisions quicker. + you have to have a good hunch and a trained eye in order to pick out the patterns on the field and any slightly unnusual pattern or store bought ghille will begin to catch your eye from sniping distance.
Also the gear. I can make my own thermal imaging and IR cameras that have high zoom just the problem is, they are not that clear. just a blob of red mass pointing a purple object at you if you get my drift. You can find these guides online...i don't know the chances of me making a guide about it because i do have some trade secrets. its not *that* hard to make, but if you don't have the proper tools avoid at all costs because you would just be screwing up a old digital cam to get a EPIC F3LL version of a thermal cam.
My two cents: Get him involved in a role that requires large use of field craft. Start saving the money for your gear. | |

| Well I am used to training snipers , but this is new to me . I am letting my spotter help because he can help alot too , as a matter of fact Reed helped train me . I reccommended him spotting but he insist on starting out his first real war , Halloween Bash , as an anti-sniper . Which I fully understand and respect him for that . He has some training in sniping and he will be equipped with an Ak-47 and a UTG Master Sniper . | |

| During a practice, have some of your guys shoot in his general direction(or directly at him). Place a few sheets of paper out in the forest and see how well his groupings are. Tell him he cannot shoot at the guys shooting him so he has to concentrate on the paper. Make the first few time easy to find the paper then gradually make the paper harder to find.
I did this alot when I was a DM. Believe me it helps alot. He probably will start spraying and praying if he just goes out there with the intention that its going to be a hard version of CoD. Now I'm not saying that hes going to crack but if you play him as an Anti sniper he probably will just run around as a rifleman with a sniper on his back after awhile.
Just a quick question, how many sniper teams are showing up to this event? You might just want him to train as a DM instead. That way he can flip from "anti sniper" to rifleman to DM easily and he will probably have alot more fun doing it....

| Well we are not to sure , I don't really have a good head count of snipers , and other stuff I just know about 20 or so folks will be there . He will hunt the snipers and also act as a rifleman and a sniper if he is need , that training technique was genious thanks alot . | |
