| Okay, so yeasterday before i went to work i watched an air force based movie, ''behind enemy lines'' it was a pretty cool movie, but now i want to start getting air force gear because of how simillar it is to being a sniper, the problem is, idk what exactly they have for gear. I know they have a standard 9mm, and a radio, anything more, how to carry the gear, also i have an m700 and a woodland bdu not jumpsuit | |

| Never seen the movie... What year is the movie based in/what unit was the movie about? I could probably tell you exactly what they wore if you give me this info...

| Hey now theres an idea.....if you build a good replica setup of a AF pilot then you could loan the equip or use it yourself for a pilot rescue or other mil sim game variants. | |

| thanks. durkee, the thing is, urg I don't really know how to explain it.
I am going to stick to being a sniper, with my BDU and Ghillie, I just want to know the vests/ chest rigs, and what the Air force uses, in case of getting shot down, or put into battle, so I'm talking
guns, knives, radios, all that stuff. with a few sniper modifications ( Like my rifle, and Ghillie)

| Airmen have choices between many sidearms to use in the event of unplanned infil..
These include: Glock 17 (9mm or .40) M1911 (.45 ACP) Sig P229 (9mm, .40, .357 SIG) M9 (9mm) S&W Model 13 (.357 mag) MP5 Sub-Gun (9mm, 10mm Auto, .40)
Those are all typical side-carry for Air Force pilots...you're best bet would be an M9 for realism, as most airmen carry those over other models.
As far as radios go, are you looking for a working radio or "mock" radio?

Well, technically not a Ka-Bar...but it is a similar style. Nowadays Its designated the Air Force Survival Knife. Typically 5 inch blade made from 1095 carbon with a polymer handle. Real beauty. But yes, the Ka-bar was used up until the 1990s I believe. Heres something close, although a bayonet its the same style. Everything is identical besides the barrel mount. I don't think you want to be carrying a real one. http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=25531

| For Pilots: You will probably want an airforce survival vest instead of that Omega style replica from evike. The omega is a good copy of what they used in the movie, but in real life they would use the survival vest. http://www.haas-ausruestungen.de/ext/sru21-1.htm^thats from a european retailer. They called it a SRU 27/P, which I believe dates to the 90's. Radio's I don't know about. Any larger CB style radio would do though. Primary, would be either a M9(mid to late 90's) or a 1911(early 90's). With 2-3 extra mags. The rest you could copy what Durkee posted, thats all solid stuff. I'm sure there is some proper boot and flightsuit, however your going to end up paying a crap ton for the boots and flightsuits all look the same. The belt would probably be close to something that would be attached to the survival vest or his G suit. The pilot kit is probably not the best for airsoft, it just doesn't have the cabability as some other kits. However I can outline a AF Security Forces kit for you, basically Alice stuff... sticks | |

| I saw a silver steel survival knife with a 9 inch blade at an 'antique' store. It was a BEAST and it was like 20 bucks. Momma wouldn't buy it though | |

| On the topic, heres an example of an airsoft pilot loadout... They're actually getting very popular. I've seen one or two at my fields, one with a full heli flight helmet. http://www.freewebs.com/army_airsoft/teammembers.htm(Scroll down to half-page) These players typically are used for scenario play (ie: lions claws) where they are "hunted" or "rescued" by a combat force. | |

| The downed pilot was good-ish, probably a good representation of what a fighter pilot would have. The marine kits were a disaster though! Off the bat I spotted a few problems with their kits! But thats another story for another day . sticks | |

| I know that, but "Watch your language", if they're going to wear the "Watch your language" uniform, at least wear it right. There are soldiers who have died in that uniform. I always read up on how the uniform is worn before I wear it myself. Maybe I'm just too serious about it. I don't know. | |

| Whoa Whoa settle down. I understand your enthusiasim(sp) but there needs to be a little leanance when it comes to hobbies. If they were playing on a dedicated Mil-sim team then they might have it better adjusted. Also I think I missed what they did wrong. Were their pants not tucked in right or what? | |

| Sorry, I get a little worked up. I'm a squad leader, what're you gonna do, haha. The first guy had his trousers bloused like "Watch your language" and the second guy in MARPAT tucked his blouse into his trousers. | |
