| Hey jarhead, look I'm a sniper, i only got my rifle and a sidearm with 42 rounds, my sqaud is killed, and my spotter got caught, my mission is to save his ass,and get to an LZ, I could give a "Watch your language" less how i look, thats how i see it. back on topic, i went up to the army navy store and got some flight gloves, and a cantine.
also sticks can you link me to a site that has them survival vests. also for everybody I'm doin an AF set up cuz a shot down pilot has to think like a sniper on radar.

| lonesniper, when you're on the field, by all means, fight the enemy, but if you're in a picture like those shown and you have the time, then at least fix your uniform. That's all I'm saying.
did you go to that army navy store across from that building that looks sort of like a donut?

| I have no clue i went to the one in arvada, just to start pricing stuff, i got a cantine, gloves, some flints, and a few other things for my dad.
And yeah i know what you saying, no matter what i have to make myself look good in battle or in a pic because if my ghillie is put on wrong i can and might be "Watch your language", (its happened and i was taken hostage and the team i was playing with was about a mile and a half away from me so i had to get myself out haha)

| May seem minor, but Owen Wilson played an F-18 NAVY pilot in that movie, not AF. Don't know if the suits/gear would be different. | |

| I actually just got airforce BDUs, and a battle dress. it has the rank on the arms as well as some decorations. They were my cousin-in-law's, i'll post pictures if you want to see them
He was a staff sergeant with a job badge that stands for air transportation. As well as two decorations, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (AFOUA), and the War on Terroism decoration.

| I'd love to see the new ABU's in action. I've only seen them on dealer sites. Kind of wondering how that tiger variation will look in the field. Do they make flight suits in that pattern? | |

As far as I've heard, the tiger stripe field dress are not operational til 2010...can anyone confirm that? The stripes actually blend better than the older stuff (BDU woodland) due to better color dispersion and a wider range of cloaking environments. I haven't seen anything on patterned flight suits, but I'll keep my eyes open and ask my CAP commander.

| You're CAP Durkee? I was CAP back in the late 80's for about six months as part of the East Central Composite Squadron in MO. Had to drop out when my parents wouldn't drive me thirty miles to the airport where we met. All we had for uniforms was OD green and dress blues. My first flight was with that squadron during orientation flying in gliders. CAP set me up for my career working in helicopters today. Even though I didn't make it in the military due to hearing loss, I still credit CAP with changing my career goals toward aviation. Stick with it and recruit as many teens as you can!
As far as the ABUs go, I would think the gray/bluish pattern would be more for urban use such as patroling bases.

As far as the ABUs go, I would think the gray/bluish pattern would be more for urban use such as patroling bases. Will do! I'm looking into military medicine as a viable career path, possibly with the USAF. The Air Force issue tiger stripe cammo has a large amount of de-hued green...along with a few other neutral colors. The large amount of de-hued blue and gray are what kindof throw off the patterning and colorway. The idea was to throw in as many colors as possible in order to enhance the range of usage...but it didnt turn out as good as if they were to use Digital Tiger All Terrain II . Hopefully they'll realize that by the time I join up

| Durkee, the way I understood it was BDU/DCU's would be phased out by 2010. We've had a few USAF guys come into JROTC with ABU on. Its a really cool looking camo up close, I didn't think it would be that cool at first. But it has grown on me.

| I've seen ABU at my field a lot with some of the guys from Kirtland AFB. I have to say, it is not bad looking, but it just doesn't seem to do the job as ACU does. (If we're talking that color scheme) | |
