| Here is the question for the next 24 hours, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, has no soldier from the Vietnam War, the remains were removed, and identified thru DNA... Who was the Military Service Person, and what Rank did He/She hold, and in what branch of service was He/She ? ( This should keep everyone busy for a while ) | |

| Alrighty then. Well: *clears throat*
The Soldier (or rather, Airman) who was entombed at the tomb of the unknowns was Air Force 1st Lieutenant Michael Joseph Blassie. The man's A-37 Dragonfly was shot down near An Loc, Vietnam.

| Let´s see how long this one takes, the race is tight for the Number 1 spot, so I think it might be time to ramp up the difficulty, When was the last time that a ship was sunk by a torpedo in combat, Name the Shooter, The Target, the Conflict, and for a bonus Cookie, what makes this Torpedoing so special compared to the rest thru History ? | |

| Ok...It was special because it was the last ship sunk by a submarine.
It was during the Falklands conflict... British submarine, Argentine ...(Battleship?)
OK. Editing Time. After looking it up:
The incident was special because it was the ONLY ship to be sunk by a NUCLEAR submarine, the HMS Conquerer (Awesome name). The ship sunk was the ARA General Belgrano. A WWII Era cruiser. The year was 82 I believe, since the conflict only lasted like 2 months in that year.

What were the determining factors reguarding Height and Width of the Modern American Battleships ? ( Since its Saturday, 1 cookie for each right answer ) They had to be able to navigate both obstacles but still be able to carry the armaments and protection needed.
Good Luck | |

| I can´t believe this !!! no takers !!! not even a guess ??
Well here is the answer,
The 2 determining factors for determining the Height and Width of the Modern Battleship, 2 major obstacles had to be able to be navigated, 1 for saving sailing time, and the second for easy access for repairs and supplies.
Width, ships had to be able to pass through the Panama Canal, Height, ships had to be able to pass under the Brooklyn Bridge,

Dog tags were first issued in 1918 to assist in the Identification of fallen Service members, ( Graves Registration and Casualty Evacuation were not a high priority, in most cases skeletal remains were all that was left. )
Who was issued the first set of Dog Tags, with the ID Numer 01 ?

| nope Both mggunner and Panic are out of the running, kkoeber, jarhead999and djstasavitch you got a chance to close the gap. O.K another hint, The French Loved this Man, if it wasn´t for him, his Military Servicemen ( not going to make to easy ), and his way of thinking, the Germans would have rolled right over the French. | |
